It should be noted that this religious organization in 2017 was declared extremist by a court decision. The press service of the SUSK of the Russian Federation in the Kirov region said that from January to November 2018 three men of 27, 58 and 69 years held meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kirov and the region. New followers were involved in the organization, they studied propaganda literature at meetings.
The apartments of sectarians were searched to seize documents important for the investigation of the criminal case, as well as literature and various items. Investigation is underway. Sledkom also told that the investigation of the criminal case opened in late 2018 against seven followers of the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses is continuing. In 2017-18, the men, carefully hiding, organized a meeting of sectarians in the apartments of Kirov and the region. In addition, they financially provided for the activities of a religious organization, collecting money from meeting participants. In both criminal cases under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the organization of the activities of a religious association, in respect of which the court has taken the effective decision on liquidation in connection with the implementation of extremist activity), investigations and the collection of evidence continue.
