Running shoes Nike model Moon Shoe, which was released in 1972, sold at Sotheby’s auction for 437.5 thousand dollars, writes RBC.
It is reported that the new owner of the sneakers is a collector from Canada Myles Nadal. He also previously acquired other rare sneakers for a total of 850 thousand dollars. The collector plans to exhibit them in his museum.
Moon Shoe sneakers were created by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, only 12 of these pairs were released.
