According to the Ministry of Finance, an agreement was signed between Russia and Turkey on settlements in national currencies.
Using the signed agreement, countries will be able to achieve uninterrupted work in calculations between them. In the near future it is planned to consider the question of accepting non-cash payments through the payment system “Mir” in Turkey. Now Mir cards are accepted only in 2 Turkish banks.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the use of lira and rubles for settlements between countries will lead to the strengthening of the financial market infrastructure and increase the attractiveness of national currencies. After signing the contract, Russia and Turkey will be able to open direct bank accounts for international payments.
